Paul Skenes continues to excel in April. The Pittsburgh Pirates' ace lowered his ERA in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, which Frew a large crowd to PNC Field since the team gave away bobbleheads of the former LSU pitcher.

2026 marks Skenes' third full season in the big leagues. The Pirates drafted him with the first overall pick in 2023 after he led the Tigers to the national championship. He won 2024 National League Rookie of the Year and made two starts in the All-Star game since his debut.
