A.J. Brown trade details revealed for Patriots, Eagles

· Yahoo Sports

The New England Patriots received wide receiver A.J. Brown in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. The trade ended months of speculation and one of the biggest offseason storylines in the NFL. The Patriots gave up ample compensation for the wide receiver, as a new era starts in New England.

The Patriots sent the Eagles a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick in exchange for Brown. The Eagles will get the better of the Patriots' fifth-round picks in the deal.

This compensation gives New England a top-tier wide receiver and a true No. 1 weapon for quarterback Drake Maye. Brown is a game-changer on the field who should make waves playing across from Patriots newcomer Romeo Doubs.

The Patriots' offense looks remarkably different with Brown and Doubs as the top receivers. That goes without mentioning the team drafting a young tight end, bolstering the fullback position, and dramatically improving the offensive line.
